Looks much better
I think I get the bit about heating them up etc to soften the seal to pull them apart - what I am unsure of is how to re-seal them.
Is it simply a case of closing them back up and leaving them to go 'off' for a while, or do you just wack them back together and chuck them on the car?
Not only am I a bit worried about burning them (many a dinner has found itself going straight in the bin after I forgot about it ) but I am a bit worried about putting them back togethr again.
cheers
John

You just whack them back together! The MY03 light are much easier to do than the bugs.
Just make sure that your oven is on gas mark 1. About 10 mins did it

John,
As I said in the other thread, I just put everything together under warm atmosphere (but you can use an hair dryer) and made sure they re-sealed perfectly...
Sorry for pic sizing again, but looks neat on black, isn't it ?

So I've gathered that a certain amount of heat allows the facings to remove from the headlight units???
Once off, how if the orange gotten rid of?
Then is it just a replacement silver bulb?

There is a kind of sealant between the "glass" and the back part of the headlight (quite similar to the aft classic rear light sealant, as far as I can remember) that requires some warm atmosphere to soften and unstick.
Ext temp was about 41°C when I did mine during summer, sealant went quite easy, using a cutter to cut the cheesy mess in between while you separate the 2 parts.
The orange part is just clipped onto the internal "black chrome" cover... it takes 2 seconds to remove.
