What a fantastic day .... and all for an excellent cause.
ok, so one quiet sunday morning, it just happened to be the 31st of August, the normally quiet, peaceful and tranquil setting of Helsby services, was about to have all of that disrupted .. No, Stanlow Oil refinery's butty boy hadnt beenfired ............... >>>>>> this happened.
Subaru's flew from all corners of the country ... from double wings ..to just pure AWACS ..
the carpark, had become site for what promised to be one hell of a meet up ..
Even dwellers from such far of Lands, as Llandudno and Anglesey (Ynys Mon)
More beasts arrived .. this one, a local boy .. first time meet
An excellent showing from the Elise crew .. and some other fine Lotus specimens ..
Conversation was high on the list ...
No wishing to be outdone ... a van of Iraqi's turned up, with a van , whose writing on the side ..... there's more of us in here, than you .... guaging by the amount that got out, they were probably right.
and then, a short blast up the motorway ...>>
and into the Main meet venue ...

I can't beleive the crowd that gathered when I opened the bonnet. Just what you don't want when your car won't start

superb day was had by all , excellent pics frank !!
those pics are a credit to all who attended ,we nearly had to have another car park just for us scoob's
a good range from wagon's,classic's, wrx's, sti's, p1's, rb5's ,and the 22b ummmm.fantastic sight for any scooby fan to see.

Nice pictures, and nice to meet a few more of the team.
Three favourite cars......
1) Noble
2) 22b
3) Lotus Exige
I asked Sonic for directions home as I followed him there. Then Frank came over as I drove off, he reminded me of the four turns I was required to make. Yes youve guessed it.
I ended up going through the Mersey Tunnel, what happened to the Runcorn Bridge, did someone move it.
That was one of three classics on the day.
2) I was looking at an RS200 thinking you dont see many of them, when I looked at the rocker cover TOYOTA was printed on the top,it was an MR2.
3) Sonic and NotorousRev were talking about holidays in LasVegas.........
I asked if it was hot, to which Sonic replied "Its in the middle of the desert!"
