Cool

To start with this really is my first DV capture attempt, I'm very new at this but I neeeeeeeeeeeeed a car mounted camera holder now!

I've had a little play tonight and this baby...

looks and sounds like this...

http://www.imprezawrx.co.uk/hks-small.mpg
(It's 3MB. I made it small to hide the number plate )

What you can hear:

H&S 3" Decat Downpipe
HKS Hyper Ti-Ltd
Forge VTA Dumpvalve

Equipment Used

Sony DCR-TRV33E Camera
Pinnacle Studio 8.6

I'm only just learning the Camera stuff but the first results I think are cool

cw42 - That's brilliant footage and those roads look excellent!!!

What software did you use to edit it all together?

Looks like I'm going to have to start saving for the mount, have you dared to stick it to the outside of the car yet?

Im using pinacle studio 8. Great program and really easy to use.
I have put it on the outside of the car, and had a video up on scoobynet for a while showing that, but had to take it down for bandwidth space. I will try to get it up again soon, as it is pretty good, hehe.
I'm off out tonight with the south mcr scoobys, and taking my camera, so will hopefully have some new footage in a few days to show. (i'm off sick at the mo', so have a bit of time to edit!)

Mickle, here is the vid I took last night. The camera was mounted in another lads car, as I had to take point. The film has been compressed too much really, but to get it on my webspace it is the best I can do. It also makes it easier for those with dialup modems and no ADSL to download as it is only a 10 meg file.
I usually end up editing quite large sections of driving out of the film, as they are quite boring really, and watching cars drive thru towns or villages can be very dull. So, you end up with just shots of great country lanes.
The main downhill in the video is taken down edale, on the map, we came along the A624 thru HAYFIELD, down thru the WASH, left at SLACKHALL, up RUSHUP EDGE, left again past MAM TOR and down the steep drop into the VALE OF EDALE. It ends down there as we got stuck behind a transit that thought it was an 18 wheeler! and wouldn't let any of us past.
Anyway, here is the vid, enjoy.
and here is the multimap

Chris - You've got some mad roads where you are, all the roads in Warwickshire where I live are flat and boring

It's brilliant when you get a bunch of like minded lads together and go out for a drive in a convoy, top vid, watched every minute of it.

Cheers Mike
