Is the white shiny dots on the top picture daylight or flash back?
I can see the hole in the side of the piston.

Nasty. Hope the dealer realises the errors of his ways - Just a thought, have you tried cancelling the payments (if it was a cheque or card etc)?

even if you pay cash for something, if it was over £5000 you must have by law a minimum 3 month parts and labour warranty. if its more than 3 months since you bought the car you can apply to the county court for its value plus compensation via the small claims service. with the parts as evidence, you won't have a problem settling the matter.

contact you local county court and they will advise you and give you all the paperwork

its worth it cos te dealer will have a ccj on his hands and if you see trading standards too, the dealer will have to watch what he does in future
