This stuff is very good.Cheap and does exactly what it says on the tin.Took me about 30 mins including all the drying and soaking time.Yeah i know it looks a different car but believe me its the same.Next time you have a spare £8.00 and 30 mins, go for it.

Did you use a jet wash or garden hose?
What bits did you cover up?
Any idle problems after?

As per my last thread i covered up the following:
Airfilterlastic bag (remember to take it off whne you are idling )
Alarm housing:cling film
Alternator:cling film
Intercooler:cut up a piece of cardboard to fit the mesh

used my Karcher jet wash and sprayed everything.
mopped up excess water around battery with old rag
Turned over engone with hood closed to get a good heat and no problems on idle. All good. The jet wash made it easier but i suppose a garden hose with spray attachment will do the same job

Best part was me missus is always complaining that i spend too much time on the car and treat it better then her!!
So when she went to asda, I popped out, did the engine, put the washer away and she never even knew LOL.
And now she thinks that i never went near the car this weekend...

Here in the US we have car washes in bays you can drive into, then walk about with the pressure sprayer. One available setting is an engine cleaner/degreaser. I've often cleaned my engines like that, it is an amusing effect when the rest of the car looks battered and dirty. It's also handy for spotting leaks, cracks, etc. in their early and minor phases.

I need to get a good shot of my engine bay, for some reason the body shop that performed the repair of the last collision wrote "under hood" in ink pen on the underside of the scoop (which is not functional on a 98 OB).
