Not being funny but those wheels look awful(cheap wolfrace style). They're bog basic. Not a patch on Peccys wheels etc. Change them for something decent. LOL and you have even taken a piccy of them.

i like them and thats all that matters too small..... why does it come out of the factory with 16's?

Maybe you could put a picture up for us all of your car with the 17" wheels. We could see how much better it really makes it look then!!?? I can personally say myself my car dont drive as good with my new 18" wheels!!

well, it has finally arrived and after a week of running in and getting used to the new beast it is time to reveal here in all her black glory. the 1.3 bar boost is keeping me occupied at the moment the jury is stil out on whether it has an ecu on it or not, found a MOTEC sticker in the engine bay tho!

It is a MY99 STi5 type-R in black red mica

VOLK racing 16" magnesium alloy wheels
race spec discs and pads
braided fuel and brake lines
CUSCO lowering springs
CUSCO 4 peice strut brace kit
Electronic lamco boost guage
unknown 3" jap exhaust, very loud!


answers on a postcard on the exhaust i think it is TRUST but cannot find any ID on it at all.
hope you all like her as much as i do, also some pics of my first scoob that i bought when i was 20, not a lot but a scoob all the same>!

why change them for 17's when they look that good IMHO, VOLK racing have got to be the daddy wheels, anyway everyman and his type r have got gold wheels, and it looks nice and stealthy at the moment

mmmm Volk Racing wheels..apparently most people don't have a clue...swap VR for OZ...NEVER!! I'd even give you 17 gold S leggeras for those.....

However agree, 17 or 18 Volk's would even look better

very nice, and i really like the wheels. like you said volk racing are one of the best makes of wheels in the world, look at any big power cars from japan and they almost always have volk racing wheels.

the exhaust looks like a hks hiper muffler but if it hasn't got any markings on it to say so i guess it's not!

stick with the 16"s, less unsprung weight (especially mags) so turns better unless of course your into max power, then get some 18"s
