The original shape is just too geriatric for this contest.

Well, I much prefer the 8 really, which is why I bought it. It's not just the shape of the lights, but the lines of the bonnet and wheel arches at the front. Everything just seems to flow a little better. Having said that, they both look alot better in the flesh.

If i had a choice of the above i think one of the 7's. Not keen on the front bumper and scoop of the 8.

Whose car is the black 8 at the top of the thread - the one without the pink bits and anthracite wheels?
I am sure it was parked on my road the other week.

I agree with VinnyP's comments above.....I wonder where that word came from.....
Though I think the STI8 does look a tad rounded though.....Sammy, you are going to have to sort out the geezer who keeps scribbling onyour reg plate.

It does look a bit swollen. Is there more space under the bonnet?

I'm not certain having never looked under the bonnet of a 7, but I don't see how there could be, it's pretty packed. I'm sure engine bay dimensions will be similar if not identical.

It's a personnel thing but I prefer the 7 .
Prefer the bonnet line were it drops away from the edges after the headlamp line.

SU3ARU, won't have been me. I did get the car from Marlborough in Isleworth though, and I know there is another car with anthracite wheels and no STi badging at all out there, because we spoke to the chap just before he took it away. Apparently he didn't want his wife to know he'd got the STi!! Let's hope she doesn't ever look under the bonnett!

Yes, the other car was from Marlborough as well - put it up on "was it you", but no response.
"Didn't want his wife to know it was a STi" - what about the interior???

I prefer the classic but if you're pushing me the 7 gets it over the 8.

The 8's scoop just looks too big. I'd need to see them both in the flesh, but the 7 get's my vote.
