I tried for months to get an STi V6 Type RA V-Limited, which turned out to be a nightmare experience (not the car - trying to get 1).....

I test drove the UK STi's one after the other - and wasn't stirred by either the car or the UK marketing of it(less bhp - less gadgets e.t.c)......

Then I got in this......





And I was (and still am) gobsmacked. Power delivery is gutwrenching - yet smooth right through the range, the torque is phenomenal, yeah the petrol tank is small, and servicing is not so kind, yet I find the ride ok, and the brakes nearly break your neck they are that good...Big ta to John Felstead and Mellow Yellow for answering all my Q's about the RA - I did try and get one, but in the end I reckon this does everything I need straight out of the box without any mods at all - thats what annoyed me most about my subaru...maybe i'll see you at the Nordschleife

my mate just boight a Evo VII FQ300, hes had it 2 months, when he came outside to go to work lastweek both locks had been barreled, rear quarter window smashed and they cut all the mesh out of the front bumper trying to take it
