On my way to get some ciggies for my sister I nipped down a side road, and when going round a blind corner all I could see is this blokes eyes wide in shock behind the wheel of his Focus as I manage to stop my car using his as a bumper The acutal speed of the Impact was only about 10-15 mph.
Thankfully no one was hurt just some dented metal and broken glass on each of the cars.
The most surprising thing for me was the damage casued by the Airbag in the focus.
Hopefully my car wont be written off as it is repairable but we all know what Insurance companie are like
Any heres some pics of the aftermath.
High-lighted areas are where the frame and inner wing are creased.
His car, the windscreen damage is the air bag
A UFO
No its Wibble to the rescue

Gutted for you
Ive just read in my local paper, that the road about a mile from me, 2 ppl where involved in a head on collision, both have sadly died
I dont know the circumstances, not racing or anything like that I know that much, but I believe they caught each others headlights (if you know what I mean)
i shall be extra careful down that road in future

Not much damage on the body work of the Focus compaired to the Scooby!
Although I'm worried what the air bag does to your head after that window shot!
Hope things are sorted out, such a nice car.

Mondeo Airbag gave me a bruised nose, and took some skin off my forehead & cheeks, and damaged my nerves in my wrist (cos I had my hands over the steering wheel when It shot out)
but hey I lived

Hi Krade,
Very sorry to this here mate, but glad you are ok.
Cars can be sorted out but people take longer to fix.
All the best.

10-15 mph??? And it looks like a head on - (your right and his right colliding). I would hate to see what a higher speed impact would have done!!

I know exactly how you feel m8 . Same thing happened to me a few weeks ago. I have just got my sti version 2 back from the repairers, same speed impact and same area but with a little more damage to both radiators... Cost about 4,500 pounds with lots of new stuff needed. ( thank god for protected no claims!) Just glad it was not a write-off!!
Hope yours will be ok.
