I know how you feel some B***a** keyed my rear wing in the same place as yours. Cost me £90 to get it all soughted then they came along and did it again. [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img]
Ive also just had to pay out for a new drivers window where two guys tryed to car jack me at the palace pier last week. Lucky i keep a wheel brace by the door - the guy will need some new knuckles!
Reported both to the police and they have CCTV cameras but they were pointing in the worng direction at the time!! Typical!!
Let me know if you looking for quotes as i have a couple of contacts that do fantastic jobs.

Went to a wedding reception last night & had a great evening only to have it tarnished when I wake up to find that some w@#ker has dented my car & buggered off without leaving a note or anything [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img][img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img][img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img]
The tape covers the part where the paint has come off!!!
Now by the positioning of it & the direction of the marks that were on it, it looks like someone has dropped something very heavy onto it. Now I have my suspicions that it was the two disco guys when they left the hotel. They must have dropped one of the speakers or something when loading their trailer as my car was right out the front of the hotel. They then just legged it [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img][img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img][img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img]
Anyone know where I should go from here?
1) Should I file a police report on the suspicions that it was the disco guys? That way I can get them to repair it if it was them?
2) Should I just find out who they were & phone up to say i've got a witness & see if they cave in?
3) Is there anywhere down my way that you would recommend to beat it out & respray it?

Sorry to hear about this mate. it looks like someone had fun at the party, came out of the party with a lady, got a bit excited and leant on the scoob but the guy was to big and bloody dented the scoob!!!!! 
Dont know how you could go about claiming. i would expect that you would have to pay for it yourself out of your own pocket

IMHO & having had a few others look at it, it definately looks like something was dropped. Just from where the car was parked nobody could have driven into that side. Also to get the dent there you'd need a big 4x4 or a van.
If somebody had leant on it hard it wouldn't have had the marks on it that it did (they're polished out in the pics above) & wouldn't be such an angular dent.
I know it looks like i'm gonna have to pay for it myself which is a real pain

This happened to my dad's Honda Accord a few years back.
I know that it's a pain but your probably better off paying for it yourself mate.

I would ask the hotel if any CCTV & report it & find out about the disco boys .... they can only say 'wasnt me guv!' but they might admit it -specially if you say about gettting the CCTV camera footage (as it was parked right under it ! - they dont need to know that it wasnt(??))
you might be able to get dentmaster (or similar) to get that out- but not sure what they'd be able to do about the flaking paint!

Sh*t..!! I bet you was funing, I wounldn't be too chuff seeing that damage on my car.. I tend to agree that SOMEONE's dropped something heavy on the body..

ajm - That corner of the car wasn't that accessable for a 4x4 to hit it. Not without some very careful manouvaring because there were two cars parked on that side all night that didn't move. Just enough room to carry something through there though [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img]

Sorry to hear about this. I had a similar thing happen about a year ago but as the car was parked in a car park (private property) it was off the public highway so the police could'nt do anything. As people have said previously, your only hope is cctv and doing the detective work yourself. Good luck and hope you get it sorted without too much fuss.

Mailed a few people today & filed my police report as well. Bleedin rozzers are gonna do **** all. There comments were "No CCTV, no witnesses, not a lot we can do!!" & that was it [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img]

From experience, I would say that looks very difficult to repair.
If it was a flat panel then maybe repairable but as it's a corner it's a tough job. More likely looking to replace it.

If you think it's the disco chaps, well, ring them, ask them to confirm they were doing a gig at the location where the car was, then tell them that their van was parked near your car, damage has been done to your car, and see what they say. If they get arsey then you could say you have cctv footage, and witness and have reported it to the police, then see what they say then, they might fess up or just hang up, either way it's worth a shot.
Oh, and I'd love to see you turn up at their gaff, I think they would get a very big shock! lol
