Niall,

If anything, I'm getting more modifications done to increase my confidence on the road.

High on the list are:

Driver training
Suspension kit
Big brakes

(In that order possibly!!)

That said I've already put a deposit on the Morettes, so I'm having those anyway!!! They have my paint code, so they're ready to be painted as well!!!

It's going to take a bit more than that to stop me!! Just more care when I see mud, snow, etc!!

I'm glad I'm old enough to get full NCB and ONLY decided to protect them at the last renewal!!!!

Cheers
Andy

All the best in getting it sorted and like you say at least it was only the car and no one was hurt.

Sorry to hear about this m8.

I'm glad that you're both alright.

I suppose all that can be said is that it could have been a lot worse, and although this doesn't make things better, I hope that it takes the edge off the whole experience.

Similar thing happened to me in my shiny P1 - tootling around a corner, didn't spot the mud... whoosh spin 90 degrees, smite curb with offside rear before traction regained and catapulted to the opposite side of the road! Fortunately no cars around. 900 squids worth of fixing to be done, insurance AXA, b45t4rds, took over a month to ok repairs as I refused to take it to one of their 'approved' dealers. mmmmf.

I'm going cold turkey in a dreadful Punto courtesy car! At the end of the day, it wasn't the accident that was bad, it's the wait to get the scooby back!

Andy,
Bad luck. Good that there was nothing more than some bent metal...

Bernmc2,
I wonder if you could give me some more details about your damage. What was the result of your rear wheel hitting the curb? Bent wishbone/strut...?
KF.

Thanks SS,

The car should be fine, be on the hand the more I think about it the less I like the idea of getting back behind the wheel!!

I should be booking the WTB course, and Nito has volunteered to go with me! I think it's a 2 person course now, but I'm not sure.

Although I guess I can't book the course without knowing when my car is ready!!

Thanks for the offer, find different course, and I'll pop along with you.

Cheers
Andy

Sorry to hear of your little excursion, hope you get it sorted ASAP. Must go on the WTB course myself, so if you're going put my name down. PS I'll bring a bumper mesh, which will save you the P&P and fit it for you.
PS Now got intercooler mesh's.
Hope your back on the road soon.

Bad news mate, glad you're OK.
Just out of interest, why did you have to use someone else's AA cover? Don't you have Subaru Assistance? I thought all Scoobs were covered for three years? I'm glad mine is!
