Is that your car? If it is can you let me know if you have any other pictures of it.
Reason is, I have a black v4 STi and am thinking about the v5 rear wing, I can't decide and haven't seen any others about. Also has it got clear lenses?

funnily enough the clear fronts are going on this w'end and also doing the orange plastic things with matt black paint - will post a pic after the fact.

Just curious. Why do people edit their plates in the pics? What do you gain by it? The only thing I can think of is that if your motor does get nicked they might know who they've nicked it from. Personally it's the nicking part that would annoy me.

I edit the plates simply because a colleague at work here had his plate 'cloned' and the miscreant who was driving around in a car that (to all intents and purposes)looked like his in every way, kept parking illegally and triggering gatsos - the hassle jeremy had wriggling out of paying all the fines etc. was unbelievable - I consequently don't want to be accused of armed robbery etc. if some scum have a nicked scooby and decide to use my reg plate - a bit paranoid maybe ...

also - the DVLC is now allowed to sell its database of registration information with only some items removed - thus this could be used by some unscrupulous people to locate cars of a particular type (to then steal etc.) - I believe that only the housenumber and name of keeper are withheld - thus all other car and address information is effectively in the public domain.

Good points Paul, hadn't thought of that. I wonder if something should be done about the DVLC (Department of Vehicle Locating for Criminals????)selling their database like that. What's the justification for anyone else needing to buy this information?

I think the DVLC database does have some ligitimate uses - those insurance quotation systems on the web for instance - can save a lot of time typing in vehicle details if they can be plucked from a database instead - trouble is the data is ropey anyway - think my sti is entered as a '1.8 GL' for instance ;-) - hopefully the DVLC vets its customers though I wouldn't bank on it !

I got my log boook thingy (V55?) altered as mine was wrongly described - also the chassis number was wrong (missed a digit).
Bound to happen as most DVLC data is electronic from manufacturers so they don't get much typing practice . .

Mind you took a letter to get 'em to do it <sigh> but to cheer me up they had a paper (watermark) problem so they reprinted a batch of V55s, including my original and its replacement.
SO now I have 4 copies - how cool is that eh?
