That grass event looks fantastic!!!
Is this the Rally Cross thing Rich was telling me about?
I am thinking about planning a trip and may try to do one whilst over there.
Cheers

That is indeed RallyX.. great fun
I will be trying to organise an event over here....
Just got to convince my mates dad into letting me use a field of his.. and the water trailer...
I think I should get some interest

i am up for it as long as its not too rough.
dont want to have to start putting sump guards on my company car, they may get a little suspicious
There are some legal issues about running timed events in the UK. A new act of parliament was passed a couple of years ago to stop off road dangerous driving. You can now be prosecuted for wreckless driving even on private land unless you recieve a waver from the police.
I will look in my MSA motorsport rules book if you like to find more info on this. Usually to get a waver the event has to be MSA sanctioned which requires paying them a permit fee.
It's probably a similar thing in the USA which may be why the SCCA is involved?
cheers

There are also new laws regarding insurance..
where private property is classed as public.. so car insurance is still valid.. some crap like that anyway...
What timing ? this is a driver training course... to see if you can get through the cones without hitting them

Let me get this straight...
So we would all be trained how to go as fast as we can against the clock around a field?
The training would consist of going as fast as we can against the clock around a field?
Sounds reasonable
Regards
Simon
PS. Seriously, do you think it's doable?
