I 'Gunked' my engine bay the other day, couldnt believe how easy it was. Been putting off cleaning the bay for ages as I thought it would be a pain in the ****. All done in 20 mins!

And heres one of my TSL Gp-A downpipe

Cheers, Rob.

Feel a bit of a fool after looking at this one!http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/threa...hreadid=167046
Makes mine look filthy in comparison
Anyway, I used Gunk foam spray. Whilst the engine was warm (not red hot) i covered the entire bay (everything!) in the stuff. It recomends that you cover electrical components with poly bags, but I didnt bother. With a paint brush I worked the foam into every nook and cranny I possibly could. Left it for 5 mins then washed it all off with a low pressure hose (not blasting it onto electrics, but they did get wet.)
Then started the engine to dry it all out quickly, and hey presto!
May get some of this autoglym treatment stuff to give it a nice shine.
Cheers, Rob.

Wink

Rob....The engine bay looks "dry" as you have not applied any protector and you forgot to clean the intercooler! The engine bay should be glistening and in better than new condition. ;-)

Think I better try harder Mark

Phil, I have made my self one of those pipes in carbon, a bit rough, but what a great idea! The 'dump' is now twice as loud, and induction sounds even louder!
Mine looks a bit scruffy, wondering how much for an alloy version?
Cheers, Rob.
