Hi there guys!
Its been a while coming but on Saturday i finally got my new car!
Hope you like the pics.
Its a RS2000 (2.0 16v)
Full Cossie kit and geniune 225 Cossie wheels.
Power boost valve.
4 point branch manifold (i think thats what its called!)
Full de-cat and FAT zorst.
Fully colour coded, delocked and clear indicators etc.
RS2000 Recaros.
Previous owner had it dynoed at 175bhp.
I love it! Will do me until i finish uni and can afford a Scooby.

I didn't do Uni, but while in the first months of my first job (17 at the time) I was the proud owner of a 1976 895cc VW polo.
I wanted a Nova SR (don't laugh, I've now got a Scoob) but would anyone insure me .... NO !

Nice car, and as for owning a car at uni - each to their own ... what I don't get it why anyone would make their car look like a cosworth (for example), when it clearly wouldn't have the credentials.
It's reminds me of the Toyota MR2 Conversion, that makes it look like a Ferarri (348 I think) .. why ?
I pity the poor car thief (joke) that think's they're stealing a genuine cosworth [

I agree Maxy_UK.
There's not many of us at the age of 20 that can own, insure and run a car like Kosy's ... and to be honest, on first impression it looks like the real thing.
How many Impreza Sports are out there with Scoops ????
PS. I was the proud owner of Fait Uno 55 way back in 1990 !

Location: Leeds - It was 562.4bhp@28psi on Optimax, How much closer to 600 with race fuel and a bigger turbo?

Im only 22 and have a scooby... the way I see it is buy the car, then you have to find the money for insurance...
Is that all thats done to the engine? 175bhp from fse and zorst??
What are they 150 ish as standard? 25bhp gain... from just them two??
I got my previous car (106xsi 1.4) to 138bhp with Ported and polished head.. fast road cam + Vernier Pulley.. fse.. (didnt do much)... Superchip.. Pipercross filter.. cold air intake.. full janspeed exhaust... and unknown manifold (inc decat).
Later sold cam as I didnt really like it..
Oh and best bit was Full Spax kit, Strut brace and braided brake lines & 195x45x15 on 405 Mi16 Wheels..
Deleted my other comment about adding a turbo..
Look in back issues of max power and find their project rs2000, had a very nice spec engine..

I agree. Good on you mate to have a motor like that at uni. The laydees must be literally swarming....
As i remember the guy with the clapped out Fiesta was hailed as a god in studentland.
Feel for you on the insurance front, but just think, at least you're not trying to insure a real cossie!
