Right... let's dispense with the formalities....

THE FOLLOWING THREAD CONTAINS IMAGES OF AESTHETIC CHANGES... SOME OF YOU WILL LIKE THEM... SOME WILL NOT ... IF YOU LIKE STANDARD SCOOBS.... THIS IS NOT FOR YOU

he he

Still here???

Right then fellow tarts.. as some of you may know we are looking at custom rear light options for the "classic" Impreza. Basically there will eventually be offerings from two manufacturers.

The firt one to the post has come up with this offering.. which is more of a "Skyline" than a "Lexus" wouldn't you say??

I wasn't sure at first..they are growing on me..I love the concept.. just not to sure about the circular surrounds round each light. I may have a set on for M*x P*w*r live so we can all check them out.. Hurrah!

Should be @£240-250 inc when available we are reliably informed.

About as near as I'll be to a Skyline for a little while anyway!

Cheers

These light manufacturers should come up with some lights that remove the silly little piece that sits under them......

just a thought.........

Question

erm Trouser,

Not too sure myself I'm after sommat more like the Lexus style ones ie separate lights under a clear smooth lens (if that makes sense?). Are any coming out like that?
However, can you tell me what the score is with regards fog lights?
cos that's what's been putting me off getting the sti type ones.

Cheers

Mojo

no worries mate... There will be some proper lexus stylee ones coming a bit later on with red units under a clear, smooth cover. They will look totally different to these.

Re. Fog lights.. we actually offer a proper, brighter red bulb that is fitted into the outer reverse socket but wired to your fog lamp switch. result. one reverse light, one fog light

We send these out with every set of STi lamps. These are in stock too at a crazy price that I can't print..its just too silly so call me!

cheers

Christian,

You're right mate, I can only assume the early pic was a pre-prod mock-up, and some styling changes have been made since then.
Just realised that the model name is Skyliner...
No coincidence that they're more Skyline than Lexus then.

Cube.

Question

Good point,

Trouser, do you know how they'll come out of the box, in silver? In a matt finish ready for colour coding? Pre-coloured etc?

Yeah.. i wished the had fitted the lights flush with the units as per that photoshop pic.

The units will come in ready to paint or in the chrome finish of the mock up pic.. hmmmmm on that one

I am going to have mine with all clear lenses and a red bulb conversion.. can any photoshop aces try that one out?

Cheers

Trouser, YHM

Did you see the thread on the old Impreza 'Casa Blanca' here? Those rear lights aren't too dissimilar, and they already exist. Just need to find a source in Japan

I actually quite like these......think i better go have a lie down..

saying that, i woulds have preferred them 'flush' and not sticking out, and thinking about it if they had recessed the unit and put a cover over (tvr griffith style) would have been even better.

In fact ditto the persons above comments about them taking out the silly corner pieces as well!

Question

Hm... that'll be a 'no' from quite a few people then...

How about these instead? No tooling changes required, just some different coloured plastic:

I've got to agree.. not quite to my taste...

Now if it was only two light units per side, and they were recessed.. then I'd think again
