Early next week I'll get back my MY98 from the bodyshop - with a newly fitted Prodrive STi 4 front splitter. If you can, get a genuine Subaru job, principally because they are plastic (and not fibreglass), hence easier to fit, easier to prep and paint, and if you do hit something they bend and not shatter.
For the genuine Subaru item, it's four bolts and a bit of silicon sealant. Not that bad.

Still to get the final bill, but the quote was for £400-£450, that is to include:
+ prep and paint STi4 Front Splitter
+ prep and paint rear STi spoiler x2 (5dr)
+ prep and paint bonnet scoop (due to vandalism)
That coupled with a replacement heater matrix (at £400) and replacment pads (£100) with supply and fit of braided brake lines (£70), is all making me feel poor. Still there's the 60K service next month for me to look forward to....

I did look at the DR motorsport splitter, the OEM Subaru part I got was only £25 quid more. Both would have required painting, as I needed to get the rear spoilers done, I went "all Subaru"
