Rear-ended on the motorway near Antwerpen yesterday.
The traffic had just slowed from 70mph to about 30mph and I had just come off the brakes when the rear window kind of exploded.
The girl in the Toyota was OK, though she banged her head on the wheel as the airbag didn't go off.
(I guess she's learnt her lesson, so next time she'll drive closer to activate the airbag).
The car hasn't been assessed yet, but if you look closely you can see the roof has crumpled above the B-pillar on the N/S, and only the drivers door opens.
Shame. It was a nice car. AP brakes, Leda suspension and dynoed at 320bhp.

Current plan is to buy another standard STI and swap the aftermarket bits over.
It should be possible to reclaim the labour cost of this as damages from the other party.
The wreck will stay in Belgium as the insurance company would not pay to drag it back to the UK. I shall try to purchase it and then either split it up or sell it as is.
I'll keep you posted.

Hugh I'm interested in the engine, I live in Belgium near Antwerp, and I can help whit striping car if you are interested
I've got a full equipped work shop so if you are interested in selling the engine than and some smaller bits please contact my so we can do a deal
