Default New Here - 2005 Forester STI

Hello friends. New owner of this 2005 Forester STI. Living in Japan, but it'll be some time before I'm proficient in the language so I'm grateful for the resources here. Should have some time to take some better photos in the coming weeks. In the meanwhile, looking forward to being a part of the community. Cheers! Randall.

Really enjoying the car. Super quick! Bought a second set of the OEM wheels with Dunlop Snow tires on them and also threw on a set of Michelin PS5s.

Stereo has CarPlay now, changed the speakers, and installed a small subwoofer under the seat. Stereo wiring was a mess, so cleaned that up quite a bit in the process.

Still working out what aftermarket parts came installed previously. At a glance, I've noticed that the struts were replaced. Haven't identified the brand. Slotted brake rotors, Cusco strut bars, intake, and apexi boost control are also installed.

Noticed the windshield washer pump isn't operating. Want to identify the reason and also comb through the engine bay more thoroughly. Will need to refinish the intake manifold and I want to ID other installed components.

No obvious leaks and the undercarriage is squeaky clean. Hopefully I can snag more photos soon.

Hello and welcome. Beautiful car but I may be biased
Worth having a nosey at subaruforester.org, there's a few of us owners there.
Does the car have yellow Bilsteins or golden KYB? I can't quite tell from the side photo.

Actually I didn't even realize the bonnet scoop on the Forester wasn't the original one, it goes with the body lines pretty well. I think I'd keep it.
When people put them on a classic Impreza it can look disproportionate but on the facelift fozzy it works. Definitely less subtle than the original tho!
