Had a couple of mantas GTE's too had one as my third car when I was 19 and it cost me £1000+ to insure it 3rd party only I am a huge fan of rear wheel drive and I am shocked at how fast it is I will look out for you. What do you drive?

So where's the furry dice
Needs painting Red with a big white tick down the sides
Looks very nice Pauln - a classic. Must have been about 12 the last time I saw one of them (on the road anyway).

NICE!
I had one of these back when I was 21 when all my mates had Fiestas. An Injection special.
TOP cars, still have a soft spot for them.
75mph in second gear.
Watch that **** in the wet though
You want a set of Brooklands alloys really 15", much better than the 13" pepperpots. 13"! God, that seems small now.

Are those a pair of exhausts or handles sticking out the back of the car..
... and how are you going to drive the car after the pedals have been removed
Is it in as good a condition as the pictures make it out to be?

Thanks for the comments It does want a bit of a tidy but I am on the case but what do you expect for a 19 year old car
Edited to say cornering in a capri thread is probably easier that in a capri in the wet LOL

Paul,
No your speedo should be right, these cars are awesomely high geared.
You'll see 110 in 3rd too. 50-70 these cars are stupidly quick (because you can stay in second!). How many cars can do that.
It's frighteneing to think you've got all that car for the cost of a decent set of tyres for a Scooby!!
I remember once I was turning right at traffic lights and someone came through on red, so there was me in the middle of the road and the lights were about to go green so I nailed the throttle with the steering already turned and the **** kicked out while I was stationary and when I was pointing in the right direction I lifted off and reapplied. Must have looked cool. I changed direction 90 degrees without moving the wheel!!
Leave it in the garage if it ever snows though or you'll look like Torvill and Dean!
The police used to put bags of cement in the boot on their cars to stop them snapping out in the wet.
Enjoy!
Rich
P.s. I found that fitting Yokohama AVS to the back did a lot to tame its wet weather naughtiness.

nice choice, i've been the proud() owner of four of these unruly beasts the last of which was a black d reg special. there just soooooo comfortable, i'd lose the pots and get hold of 15" 7 spokes then it'd be the muts nuts - or just drive it to destruction, sideways with a huge ear to ear grin on!
respect and enjoy it!
