I am trying to upload pictures but keep getting the error message

A network error occurred while netscape was sending data.
(Network error: Connection reset by peer)

Try connecting again
Any ideas please?

While we are talking about this. I see Adobe have discontinued the use of their Optimiser(sp) / save for web thang. Are there any others to use?????

Daz,

Part of the original requirement for using the TurboSport uploader was for pics to be less than 200Kb...subsequently reduced to 100Kb and so it was often necessary for pics to be 'optimised' to reduce them if they'd been taken on high resolution.

Avi set up a post that linked to the Adobe site for picture optimmisation:

but it seems Adobe have removed that facility, ostensibly to 'improve the service...' but probably due to cost

However, the 100Kb limit on the TurboSport uploader seems to have been removed 'cos I posted a pic the other day which was 122Kb and it uploaded o.k.

Ok, for optimisation of your GIFs and JPEGs, I'd recommend you download the free trial of PaintShop Pro from www.jasc.com

You can locate the optimiser when using 'SAVE AS' with JPEG or GIF.
