Modified Bugeye, OZ Ultraleggera, prodrive, sti etc
So, at 7am yesterday morning I had an accident in my blobeye with a Minicab, not my fault but insurance say it'll go down as mine as I came out of a side road... Anyhow, at 9pm last night I went and picked up this Bugeye WRX
It has higher mileage than I wanted, but even if I had spent more I couldn't find one anywhere with less miles/similar spec for a bit more cash so went to see it, liked it and bought it.
2002/52 Impreza wrx, has full sti Interior (everything), Prodrive bumper, full exhaust, air filter, OZ Ultraleggera 18's, 270 ish bhp and more bits.
The car handles like it's on rails, I'm really happy with the way it rides, even for a daily it's very bearable.
Bad points, it has HID's that look like they were wired up by a plumber, this is something I will sort soon as it bugs me too much.. It's all safe and wrapped but bodged.
- EML light is on, comes up as lambda fault and today I noticed it's not plugged in, and there is a resistor in another connector too ?
- It doesn't look like it's been polished since 2002, I love a bit of machine polishing so watch this space... It's got more swirls than an ice cream van.
- It had a nice Alpine unit in it with no bluetooth so today I fitted my Pioneer with bluetooth and hands free out of the Blobeye.
Here are some pics..
And the Bugeye with the bruised Blobeye behind it, I have both..

I have answered my own question from the other page haha. Nice work mate. Sounds like the resistor is a CEL fix for the down pipe still plug it in a check the fault code

Thanks, Love the wheels, they're in for a refurb next week.
Suspension is BC coilovers, ride for coilovers is very good and am happy with how it rides, it's good enough for daily use too.

I was thinking about a colour change for mine, Gold, Bronze or keeping them Grey.

So last night the full detail began, I left the car at work as Im not even half way through yet, it took me almost 4 hours to do the rear quarter, both doors and one wing..
The car looked very good but it was a bit of a ten footer, up close the paint was terrible, really bad. The whole car is covered in swirls and the paint was flat, but in the sun it looked good from 10 ft
So this is what I was up against, flat full on swirled paint.

In this picture you can see I have started on the rear quarter and compare it to the door

And this is what is looks like done, however still not waxed just polished.

Your car looks lovely mate, looking forward to seeing it all polished up.

Cheers Ash
So today I thought I'd swop the lights from my Blobeye to my Bugeye, I read online that they fit without needing the bumper so I gave it a go.
They do fit, but the fit is poor in my opinion. The lights are deeper so they over hand the bumper a lot and look odd when you're up close.
.
Half way through fitting with one blob and one bug rear light fitted.
And this photo shows how much gap there is, this is the bug light fitted to the blob and it shows the depth difference between the lights.
And this picture is just because.
