Default Basvo red track-spec 22b replica

Hey guys,

I've been driving a red 99 gtt for almost 2 years now. It was a technical mess when I bought it, but didn't know it till last years MOT. Spend a lot of money in the technical bits and it's running 100% now.

I had a chance to buy an american gl impreza with is transformed into a time-attack racecar. It's Original LHD and it has a welded rollcage, lexan windows and a 22b bodykit on it. It has been running last 2 years Dutch time-attack championship and it's now been stripped.
I'm very happy with this buy! The plan is now to make the body tidy and nice again. When this is done I will take the drivetrain from the red classic and put it on this body:

Hope you guys like it as much as I do.

Real shame it got broken. Looked great!

Good luck with the project.

Forget the Subaru, what's the story behind the bimmer in the background.

Thanks for the link to the build thread. But I can't see a lot of pictures because he deleted them that's a shame.

It was an awesome car to see on the track! But unfortunately the engine just blew up. The previous owner needed to leave the county due to not paying taxes and risking losing the car they wrote the tittle of the car to the owner of JT-performance. He had the for 3 days and then I bought the body.
The body has some cracks on the side skirts I need to fix, so the car needs to have some loving from somebody. It's a bit on the rough side you guys would call it I guess?

The outside of the red Impreza is showing also its age. The car had previous owner who didn't take car of the car and now it is starting to show. The paint is not so shiny anymore at some places, but I fixed that part. But the body starts to get rust at the right rear panel and left front window. And I guess the car had to be in an accident, because there is suddenly a crack on the left rear panel. And it is definitely a bondo crack.
So I want to bring both cars together to get a nice Impreza again. And breaking both cars is for the best of them.

As for the Bimmer with the Asonca body on it :P

It's an 81 Ascona 2L sport that is transformed to a 400 rally replica.
The car has been build by a Belgium guy who took the car historic rallying for 5 years in Belgium. After he bought a classic Porsche 911 the car was sold to a Dutch person I bought it from. I bought that car 2 years ago. It's was sitting in a container and I took a risk, because the engine was running rough when I bought it. But it was a build 2,5L CIH and all the big specs we're there so I bought it.
The gamble didn't turn in my favor and this car was also a wreck. Engine was dead and I need to replace the engine and all the suspension because that was broken and rotten also.
I bought a build 2,2L CIH engine, bought a quick rack, new rear axle and placed new suspension on it. It took 1 year to bring it back to life, but it was worth the fight. The outside is in rough shape, but I don't mind. Now I'm driving it like every rally need to be driven... McRae style fully sideways lock to lock

In my defence I was on my phone in the pub and it looked like a bimmer.

So a year later that I bought the car is almost finished.
Actually I was finished a month ago, but the car broke down and I can't find the problem, so the car is at a well known Subaru tuner in the Netherlands. Hopfully he can find the problem and I can enjoy the car.

Looks lovely bar the bonnet scoop, I would go back to the standard one to keep the flow of the whole car and get a OE roof vent instead
