Cheers guys I might get some gold speedlines to use as a second set but leave the car as it is, the miles will hardly go up as I wont use it that much, can someone tell me will the 4 pot Sti brakes fit under the 16"s that are on the car now ?

My advice would be, don't change anything on it cosmetically, keep it under a sheet for another 6 years and watch it appreciate in value

Nice example you've bagged yourself there, clean ones like these are worth holding onto hence why I'm keeping mine tucked away.

Thats exactly what im going to do, it will just stay in that garage and used occasionally, Ive know the car for over 10 years just the guy that had it is 65 now and has a number of other nice cars decided to thin things out a bit,

V3 STI with around 55k on the clock, not worth as much as other GC8 models granted but can't part with it.

i agree joe,
my ra is just hitting 50 thousand miles (80k) but use it every day.
whats the point of it sitting in a garage to make and extra 500 in a few years ?

lovely motor though - got 1500 quid here if your selling LOL

Come back in 10 years time and you'll see exactly why

I agree, they should be enjoyed, but if you can afford to keep a mint, unmodified example under wraps, you'll be enjoying the healthy (considerably more than £500 ) profit that the RS owners of today are.

Yea, i missed a golf gti mk1 about 5 years ago, mint condition low miles, had been dry stored, selling for under 2k, now would be worth triple that, maybe more as it was show car condition.

In 5 years there will be very few classic minters around
