Default Red Spec C

Hi all, had a type r a few years ago always wanted another Subaru and ended up buying this in japan. Its a 2003 spec c limited in red, which im led to believe is pretty rare in the uk. Pretty standard apart from Ohlin coilovers boost controller and a set of sti rays. Started collecting parts for it just need to decide on an exhaust anyone have any recommendations? And what is the best oil to put in it?

few quick pictures

cheers rab

Every one seems to go miltek on the twin scrolls,

I've got a jap speed down pipe Decat, then a Heywood and Scott de res centre with miltek back box, bit raspy for me so may change the box.

Oil wise mines running 5/40w fully syn.

Nice car in red, and as you say rare I know of two other red ones, one being gaz off here

Do they sound that good? Everyone has one I fancied something different.

Cheers I wanted a white one but this popped up before a white one.

Mine wasn't a twin scroll so on the twin sccroll it may not be as boomy?

I was thinking about a kakimoto regu 06 & r. Had one on my type r and sounded really good with the equal length manifold. Obviously that would mean buying it from Japan though

had a brief look last night Steve but was out at just after 5am this morning so had an early night for a change.

Yep there's not many here in the UK now, there was a few more last year but 2 left the country and another was broken, As far as I know there are 2 road going versions and a track car, I was looking for a white one too at the time but grabbed a bargain and never looked back.

I have a couple of sets of the lightweight bbs rims in black with different tyres on but I do like those rays ones.

Do you mind me asking what the final price in the UK is, No bother if you don't want to say or PM me if you prefer, I have a sound clip of the Miltek if you want to hear it but will have to send you the link in a message

Picked up the car on Wednesday, very pleased with it and it seems to be all one shade of red which is a bonus.

Gave it a full service including gearbox gearbox and diff oil. Also wired up a fog light, wired it to the o/s reverse bulb holder to keep it tidier at the back.

Ordered a turbo back Hayward & scott turbo back exhaust, was after a sti genome but people want silly prices for them. also waiting on tyres too, opted for the Nangkang ns2r hopefully be here next week and ill get it mot'd.

cheers rab

Looking good and going in the right direction. Are you planning on getting it checked or mapped for UK fuel

It's getting mapped as soon as it's registered. Got a RCM 340 fuel pump waiting to be fitted too along with a HT autos front lip to fit.

The RCM pump sock isn't compatible with your anti surge box on the assembly. If your sock in your RCM kit doesn't have a long elbow, contact RCM and have a moan. Total ballache fitting mine unless you like botch fitting

Cheers, I'll give them a phone tomorrow will they just send out another elbow? Or is there a specific kit I can buy for the spec c?

Cheers rab
