V5 Type-R
Hi all,
Reintroduced myself back in January after putting a deposit on a V5 Type-R, and after a monumental effort and two months, it was finally registered for UK use.
Couple of niggles on the body I missed when viewing - but both times it was pitch black, and I am being a bit fussy about it. But the most obvious looks like the bonnet has been slammed down on a tool left in the engine bay at some point... On the whole though, it's very tidy.
In the short time I've had it, I've replaced all the wipers for new Bosch ones - the originals were properly knackered, and I've repainted the interior plastics...not 100% on the colour now it's dried, as it reminds me of primer;
Replaced the knackered HU with a new Sony one, the weight of the old one was just insane as well;
Plenty of plans heading forward, that mainly involve removing what few aftermarket parts are on there and replacing them with stock ones, and then just enjoying it!
Cheers for looking,
John

Thanks guys, I do love it...not that I've seen it in a while.
Head gasket has gone, which to say I'm pissed off about would be a huge understatement. But there we go, **** happens I guess. Have to keep smiling about it, otherwise I'd cry.
I'm in Surrey mate, not quite as far South as yourself!
Thanks! And I have a couple more - these ones without the questionable filter involved too...
