Default RCM oil cooler and pics

Just had an RCM oil cooler fitted and service done, so thought I'd take some pics as Alan at Engintuner kindly washed it too.

The oil cooler was placed behind the fog lamp, no room behind the rad due to lots of gubbins - i/c, air con, front mount etc.

Cheers. The saloon front conversion really adds to the bug wagon, esp with the prodrive bumper. Oil temps are now well under control and peace of mind has been achieved, keeping the stroker unit in rude health.

Nice car.

What is the size of the oil cooler?

Do you have an actual pic of it with the numper off?

Is it a thermostat controlled one?

25 row RCM kit, with thermostat. It's sitting just inside the front wing. The drivers side wheel arch liner has also been vented to allow air flow to equalise via the intake on the lamp cover. As usual, Enginetuner did a top notch job.

On a steady cruise at 65 ish temps were 96. Anything above this or a climb with extra load on the engine it was climbing to 100+,topping out at 110 on one occasion. We are not talking about wringing its neck either. So, the oil cooler was ordered to stabilise things.

On the m'way on the way back temps were steady at 90ish.
