De tango'd my Blobeye
So I finally detango'd my headlights and decided to paint the inside of the headlights. I really like the change!
Here is some pics from my process!
Before:
Taken headlights out and removed the lens (used a lot of heat and slipped with a screwdriver which cut a lot of my thumb off, but was good to get to this stage)
Remove the orange len and roughed up the covers ready for painting
add some paint
back together

I used a heat gun, I have HID Xenon bulbs so didn't want to risk them in the oven! The heat gun was really easy, just do a small section and slowly work around but wear gloves as it's hot and when pulling them apart you need a blade/screwdriver so if you slip like me, you won't it yourself really badly!
Just make sure you have some strong bond to put them back together

I too just used a heat gun on mine. I also found the original bonding material was sufficient to reseal the units back together, no need for anything extra.

I presume so, yes. I've read the original bond is ok to reuse but because I had car bond to hand an wanted to make sure, I just used it anyway.
It may look like a difficult / fiddley job but it's very easy.
The guides on this forum are excellent and make it simple, the only thing I noticed that wasn't in the guide I used, once the headlight is removed, undo all the screws on the rear of the headlight around the rim before using the heat gun.
