Default my first impreza

Bit of a change for me . oned a Volvo S40 for 6 years ( originally bought due to lots of points) Finally bought an impreza, as i do a lot of mountain biking i got a 2002 impreza wagon. pretty much stock other than the exhaust and a blow off valve ( not sure if i like it ) and a map. 126k on the clock but payed very little for the car. needs some TLC on drivers wing and wheels. Love it so far. going to take a bit of getting used to going from 136 bhp to 245.

Get the OE DV back on. That's a standard TMIC for a WRX. The strut is aftermarket and not made by STi. The standard air box is good for 400bhp, so get it back on.

How do you know it's 245bhp? Does it have a remap?

I'll post some of my old Bug wagon

Enjoy.

Love the wheels/brakes on that wagon ! what wheels are they ? and do you have to have 18's to run bremboooos ?

my wheels are terrible. not keen on the design and they are flaking badly ! Also needs a new front bumper and driver side wing and different headlights, thinking prodrive xenons ? other than that. not going to do anything looks wise. engine wise. possibly a proper STI intercooler. do a bit of tidying up in the engine bay, possibly samco hoses and some metal header tanks. also needs a new induction kit/standard box fitting.

Nice car you have there, just needs a little bit of work to make it more competitive against these new Golf Rs and the like.

I would lose the STi badge off the back, it's not an STi...

Those wheels on the Trooper's wagon are Prodrive PFF7s and the brakes are standard newage STi Brembo calipers, I assume with stock pads and discs. It is a very cost effective mod as the standard WRX brakes are not up to the job really.

The STi intercooler is a good idea as is a set of hoses on a car over 10 years old but you can also consider a high quality filter and maybe a nice exhaust (such as a Hayward and Scott or Miltek) to go with a remap. Another popular mod is STi injectors to go with it along with a new turbo (again, an STi VF unit is a good one).

Depending on how mad you want to go with tuning you can also uprate the suspension but a set of decent coilovers is often the best value for the outlay.

looks well, as above loose the DV and STi badges.. maybe decat the exhaust fit a standard airbox with a decent panel filter and get it mapped again. your torque seem quite low considering its already been mapped. who mapped it?

I'm gonna say it... Keep the Forge, blow off noise is cool.

I'd agree though, never seen a map leave the torque figure pretty much standard. Not with forced induction anyway.
