Hi, the inside lamps on my morette's need replacing will any lamp of the correct size fit or do they need to be morette lamps?

Depends on the connection method at the back.
When I did mine they had 3 location "lugs". I searched everywhere (inc a Lucas distributor) but ended up getting the OEM version.

IIRC I paid around £70 each at Graham Goode.

For a classic, the OE lights were Cibie, and Cibie stopped making them an age ago.

You used to be able to get a set of HELLA lamps which would fit.

The new lamps also run H3 bulbs, so CAN have uprated bulbs where the Cibie's didn't like them.

I've also found this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Cibie-Inne...item3379199e42, but am suspicious: no photo and it says h1: Morette inners were H2. I'd give that a miss.
