Default 2006 sti front fog lights

just wondering are there any wires behind the fog light covers on 06 sti to fit lights to. I never took them off. If you buy fog light kit what comes with it. Do you get switch loom etc

The wiring is there already. You'd need the two lights with brackets, a relay a fuse and the switch.

Or, better still, get some DRIVING lights, which are worth having.
Here's a pic of mine on full beam, WITH Morettes, WITH uprated bulbs:

Now here it is with the driving lights, a pair of Hella 1000FF's, switched in:

Both taken on the same camera setting.

For the price of a foglight kit, you could probably be well on the way to a decent driving light kit, and wiring them is a doddle.

You might drop on a full kit on ebay, but a pair of brackets would be dead easy to get knocked up in alloy, and even easier in steel, then Hammerite, or powder coat.

Don't they need lifting a little?

It might be the photos masking real life but I've found in the past that if the road is too bright in front of the car it can have a tendency to dazzle you and you have difficulty seeing beyond the bright patches.

Totally agree about not wasting money and time on fog lights.

No mate, the glare at the front is because I took three photos, dips, main beam and mainbeam + driving lights. In order to show the effect I set the camera on manual and then dialled in the same settings for the second and third pics as for the dips. The bright driving lights have washed out the last pic a bit, they are near-perfect in use.

Had I let the camera choose the settings, I would have got three near-identical pics, LOL.
