Unhappy

Does anyone know where I can get a replacement lens for the Morrette headlamps?

The passenger side outer lens has been broken, prob by a stone.

They've only been on the car for 1,500 miles.

Talk about bad luck with this car....6 weeks old - 5th gear synchro gone, squealing brakes, and now this...

I've been quoted "can only buy a full unit...for £150 + vat".

Can anyone please help?

Tony

I seem to remember this problem from once before. With search down it would take me an age to find the thread now.

From another thread this is the telephone number from a company called Brittania (I think)01443 490 700. I'm pretty sure these are the people that import Morrettes from France and they may be able to help or point you in the right direction. It is possible AFAIK to buy the glass units on their own.

Nathan,

Tried Brittania who referred me to IM, who said separate parts are available, and that I can order via a main dealer. Tried the main dealer who said it was a full unit only!
Then tried every scooby accessory shop I could find...only one replied today; with a quote for £67 + VAT (Scoobysport.co.uk).
I'll try Demon Tweaks tonight and double check their price. Thanks to you and James for the help...
I was beginning to think the unthinkable...a return for the bug eyes!

Question

James,

I checked Demon Tweaks site, but all they seem to have is a link to Brittania cars and their Morette site, which is next to useless!
Can you tell me where you found the price?

Tony

Red face

Cheapest deal I can get is from Scoobysport.co.uk...at £67 + VAT. Only trouble is they've been waiting for parts / kits for 2 months....I've tried TSL Motorsport, scoobyessentials, Demon Tweaks, Scoobyworld without success...

Anyone know of anywhere else?
