Default Mirror Connectors

Hi everyone got some JDM folding mirrors and rather than hard wiring them i would like to try and get some more plugs and make them plug and play....

The problem i have is they come with door mirrors, so im hoping someone might have some damaged mirrors laying there...... lol

Heres a picture of the plug, i need two, i dont mind paying but dont want to have to buy two mirrors in order to get them!

assuming you have a bugeye you don't need to add any wiring to the mirror plug, all you do is run two wires to the connector block in each footwell from the folding switch and wire it in there.

Wow that was a quick reply....

Yeah i have a bugeye mate, the JDM mirrors however have different connector plugs (Different shape and white in colour) So wouldn't plug straight in anyway.

So...... I was gonna remove the white plug from the JDM mirror end of the wire and fit the black connector as seen in the pic.

If that makes sense lol

Thanks

Yeah i see some have different plugs, not sure why...

The black plug in the picture is the one on my original mirror, and the JDM ones have a slightly different shape and are white, what did you have on yours?

it was a few years back but as far as I can remember everything plugged straight in, I just had to add the two wires from the switch

Same on a classic. I canibalised two connectors from a scrapper to get the wires and pins out of, then soldered and heat-shrinked to make the new connections, and slipped the new pins into the original connector.

I want to do the same as you, main reason being is when i come to sell the car i want to be able to easily put the old mirrors back on incase i want too.

I thought about going scrap yard for some plugs but they will probably try and make me buy a pair of mirrors.

Maybe, maybe not. If you can find a Legacy, they have the same connector pins....

Worth asking. If the mirrors are broken....and you only need one connector, they have enough pins to upgrade two sides.

There are multi-connectors available from places like vehiclewiringproducts.co.uk.
They come with both the male and female parts, in anything from 2 to about 8 ways. Not dear either.

http://www.vehicle-wiring-products.e...connectors.php

Mini-connectors, about half way down the page.
