Default light on dash

Door open light on dash stays on all the time .four passenger door switches seem ok have swapped them one at a time for a switch I know works.where is the switch for the tailgate 95 wagon

Same problem here on 95 wrx import! Any ideas??? Need ideas ASAP its draining the battery and I having to jump the car each morning.

Just un plugged it light on dash still on and annoying me now!

Mine still the same ..going to have a look inside tailgate tomorrow to see if I can find the switch

Fao. alcazar,

I've just had a quick look at jay's car as posted above, the light stays on with all the sensors disconnected!

Do you know if they are fed by a relay at all?

Not afaik, but it could simply be that the wire leading to earth has a dead short on it. BEFORE the switch.
The usual method of working these is to put a live to them, and lead the earth via a door/boot switch. If it's gone to earth BEFORE that, there's your prob.
Unfortunately, it will need all the wiring traced, could be any one of them

Late reply as I am away but back tomorrow and will take a quick look, I'm not exactly the best person to be doing something like this how ever will have a quick look around google see if I can find a guide, or worst comes to worst an auto electrician will be called but can see that being expensive.
