Default Locked My Keypad Out!

Hi,

Was wondering if there is any way to reset the system on my 2003 Sti. I recently got a new key for the car so I had a spare and was trying to program the system so both keys unlocked the car etc but I've inadvertently entered the wrong pin three times and it has totally shut down power to everything.

I've tried everything I could find on the net and forum's about pulling the negative to the battery and turning the key then refitting it but nothings working.

There's still power to the horn so there is power, no alarm lights flashing and zip lights coming on when I put the key in.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

entering the pin code 3 times incorrect locks the keypad out for 30 minutes
after 30 minutes has passed the keypad will become active again.

if you arm and disarm the alarm with the working key enter the following
*17856*91*2# give each key to be programmed a quick press the siren will chrip to say its learnt the key.
That will do the remote unlocking side on your new key, However if its brand new and never been used with the car you need to get you local dealer to program the immobiliser side of it with the select monitor

Brilliant,

Thanks very much. I'll go out to the garage an see if it has reset and become active again.

Cheers.

I'd disconnected the battery as thought it was going to be sitting for a while and I've connected it back again but still no sign of life. Do you think the 30 minute countdown would only take place with it having power?

Sounds to me like you have a blown fuse or your battery is flat. The alarm only disables the starting circuit, not everything.

Got you, your right. The fuse must have blown at exactly the same time I thought I had entered the pin wrong. Does anyone know where I can get the black 80A fusible link?
