Default dazzling new bulb

recently had a drivers side dipped bulb blow, relaced with a ring' bulb from local garage....now that side seems brighter and is glaring cars infront...is it poss i havnt seated the bulb right? blobeye car fwiw

You could have fitted an uprated bulb? Or a higher wattage?

The bulb may be upside down, not seated properly? Or the light has been disturbed.

As above but possibly even a defective bulb ?? always remember the Auto express magazine bulb comparison tests often advising that such and such a bulb could not be used in the test due to being defective as supplied, some off these bulbs were from the leading manufacturers.

Try swaping bulbs over perhaps ?

cheers lads had another 2 goes today, and could see the problem, the 2 little ball tangs on the bulb wernt in the 2 holes in the holder thus indeed the bulb was somehow upside down, a tad fiddly to get right, but right is is now...job done cheers..never heard of upside bulbs in 27 yrs of driving

Seems easy to do in a Scoob. More evidence of poor design.
