Default New style HID kits ??

Appreciatte aftermarket HID lighting is no longer flavour off the month arould here !! but just wonder if anyone could advise just how these new style off HID ballasts differ to the more common style off ballasts and what if any advatage they offer ?? they seem to go on about the ease off fitting but certainly from any kit I have ever fitted over the years all aftermarket HID kits have all been plug and play anyway.

anyone advise ??

As in all things, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!

Those ballasts are the same as the ones I fitted for someone over two years ago.
They are smaller because they are electronic and have the ignitors separated from the ballast.

But please bear in mind:

DECENT "bulb" for HID: £50 pair. You can pay up to £100.
DECENT ballasts for HID at least £80 pair. You can pay over £150

That's £130 right there, with NO wiring.

And he's selling this "top quality" stuff for £30? All in?

Okay cheers for the info, so you are saying these particular ones I linked to are not infact a totally new design ?? certainly not see them before then ??

had a set off £35 HID lights in my last car which were in for over two years without giving any problems apart from one off the bulbs requiring replacment after the first year but yes appreciatte what you are saying regards overall quality.

No, they look the same as the ones I fitted for a mate, bought off a certain trader on here whose name I'm not allowed to mention

NOT plug and play, despite being so advertised.
Worked OK, but dip was just OK and main beam was shabby. Removed soon after.
