Will uprated H4 bults overheat connectors on Bugeye?
Has anyone had an issue with using higher rated H4 bulbs (Philips, Osram, Halfords etc.) in 'standard' bugeye headlights???
I was warned by dealer that they have had a number of Bugeye owners who have 'cooked' the bulb connectors when they upgraded from the standard H4 bulb to the brighter H4's from Philips, Osram, Halford Extreme/Ultra etc. Xenon bulbs.
I'd like brighter output but don't want to cook the wires/connector and have to get new ones spliced in.

Will only be a problem if the new bulbs are pulling too much current. If the wattage is the same then no problem. Most uprated bulbs use a different gas and filament to achieve the increased brightness, the actual wattage is the same.
