Subaru Bugeye help.
Hey guys hope this is in the right section.
I last week took delivery of a 2002 1.6 bugeye subaru. It may be almost 10 years old but it still in decent nick. It was bought as a second car / runaround though so it prob won't be out and about much.
I love the car great to drive (despite the lack of power) its first outing was just nipping down the the cinema, when I came back out I found someone had tried to rob my 2 front headlights They half ripped off the plastic surrounds on both sides (breaking around the 2 inners screws) and then gave up. I was ripping as you can imagine.
I changed them for blobeye lights that I picked up for handy money they will do me in the meantime. But my mechanic reckons that the reason they tried to rob my lights is that they are genuine prodrive lights??? He still reckons they are worth up to £300
So I'm looking to you guys to tell me are they knock off's (like I think) or prodrive like my mechanic says. I'll likely be binning them but if they are worth anything I might flog them. They each have a cracked lense (one side outter lense the other is the inner lense) and some stone chips.
I'm still puzzled as to why someone would try to rob them? Maybe if they are genuine prodrive ones I could see why.
Many thanks guys.
