With a simple bracket the Hella 1000FF fit, as do the 500FF's.
The 1000FF isn't made anymore, but is a much better light then the 500.
It's a bit larger so they stick out from the bumper more.

Both are much better then the stock ones.

Also, Cibie make some lights, but they are also hard to find.

Picture of 1000FF on my car.

Yes, those are the jobs, and they DO take an HID kit which transforms them from very good to absolutely brilliant.

I have no experience of those lights, and doubt anyone on here can tell you.

I would also question that site, since it SEEMS to be saying that higher wattage BALLASTS will lead to brighter lights.....

I think the mounting bezel (@ 213mm diameter) is to large.
Why not go for the proven Hella 1000FF with a cheap HID kit.

@ Alcazar, it seems strange but it actually correct.
They call it a ballast, but it is actually more like a transformer that changes the 12V input to a much higher (several KV) output that drives the light itself.
A higher wattage ballast is like a higher wattage bulb.

My understanding is that the ballast is a transformer. It simply takes 12V and supplies the bulb with thousands of volts, yes?
The BULB does the actual light output, and there are no bulbs rated at more than 35W, yet.

Correction: I've found 50W HID bulbs.

Increasing the voltage across that type of bulb has no effect on light output, afaik.

You will need to make brackets for them.
