Default Light issue

My side lights are constantly on when the ignition is switched on.
The switch on top of the steering column is off and stalk is in the off position but they remain on.
They briefly flick off then on when turning the light stalk onto side lights.

Any ideas guys ??

Thanks as always.

Sounds like the stalk switch is dodgy.

Well finally got round to fitting a new stalk assembly today. Was a nice simple job but it hasn't cured the problem.
Side lights are constantly on with ignition..

Any other ideas chaps ??

Thanks,
Matt.

OK, they must be picking up a feed from the ignition live. That could be anywhere in the wiring from the stalk connector to the fusebox to the lights.

Best of luck

Alternatively, find the wiring feed to them and fit a small switch.
