Default V3/4 to V5/6

Hi there

Just after some advice really. I have a 98 R reg classic turbo which i believe has a version 3/4 engine etc. I am looking to have installed a version 5/6 engine but not sure what I need to do about the loom. I have been advised that the wiring harness for the whole car is completely different and either need to get a V5/6 harness/loom or change the heads and inlet manifold to V3/4 on the proposed engine.

Please help as I havent got a clue. I cant undersand why the looms would be so different?

Is your car a v4 or a v5?

I believe its a version 4. Its a 98 Reg classic. It has the facelift dash but the older style bumpers. It doesnt have the crystal head lights if that helps?

If your coil pack is in the middle of the inlet then yes it'll need the heads changing as the inlet manifold from your engine won't fit.

The loom will be different as it runs a different ecu to the V5/6 engine.
