Default Right turn indicator.

Hi folks, not posted very often but hope someone might be able to help me.
I have a 2001 Impreza Sport classic shape. This last few days I have had a problem with my right turn indicator. All three bulbs remain lit even with the ignition switched off. I can use my left indicator no problem, all works ok, the dash light flashes as well. But the dash light is constant for the right turn. If I try the hazards both dash lights stay on and all the indicator bulbs light.
I have had a look at the fuses and relays under the bonnet and the first time the problem went away after a couple of pushes of various fuses. Tried this again today but the fault remained, until threatening to use a screw driver to remove bulbs. All of a sudden normal service resumed.
Could there be a relay problem under the dash, and if so where will I find it?
Hope someone can help. Thanks in advance.

The flasher relay is high up, under the dash, driver's side.
It is difficult to see AND touch at the same time, best to have alook, then set ni=t flashing and reach up and touch so you know you have the right one, the ones that's ticking.
But TBH, it doesn't sound like a relay problem, more like the switch

http://forums.sidc.co.uk/topic/96215...s/page__st__60 As above check your relay,if that doesnt work try this, you can buy the alarm ecu for £40 if needed.

Thanks for the advice. I'll be under the dash when the rain stops.
Regarding the possible alarm trouble, if I just use the key to lock the car would this by_pass the problem?
Cheers

Good question im not sure,i would suspect the relay as alcazar said first as hazards work with the ignition of so probably that.If its not the alarm is the only other thing with relays that can stick.

My money would still be on the switch..........can't see how a flasher relay could stick in one direction and not in the other

Ok my car is down doing this. Now i dont really give a toss about the flashers flashing on arming/disarming so going on the above link you reckon if i snip 16 & 17 itll disable alarm being able to use indicators and more importantly stop it ever sticking on again!

looking through sigma online manual doesnt look like you can disable the indicators

OK, but what if it triggers something else in the alarm?
