Impreza alarm
Hi all, My sigma alarm on my impreza doesnt make a beeping noise when arming/disarming, But it does make a noise when the alarm is triggered,Im just wondering if this is how it should be or if you can programme it to beep on arming.I don't know the model number at the mo but check it if needed, Cheers.

I have read there is a way to activate certain 'options' using the keypad if you know your alarm pin code. Sounds a bit dangerous to play around with though.
In saying that I have previously done this on my VAG car using OBD.

So according to the document, to set the beeps to 'on', arm then disarm the car alarm system using your remote key,
then on the keypad type:-
* 17856 * 00 * 1 #
Now who want's to try this one out first

Think you're right, but what are the consequences?
Just plead ignorance and claim the car was like that when you bought it and if worst comes to worst set it back to off. I had it on my last car for about 2 years and no-one ever complained. Someone above has also quoted Subaru dealer offered to switch his beeps on lol.

True, But people on my estate make enough noise and wake me up so i wouldn't be too fussed about a little beeping noise coming from my car. i think i might get a louder exhaust on as well just to keep up the noise level.

Sadly the law is the law and if you got an awkward police officer they might report you instead of giving a warning,it`s your choice but why look for trouble?.All covered by "The noise and nuisance act1993".

so what if your car as a tracker and you dont know your car has been stolen because your lights are only flashing and no sound of alarm being activated me thinking all the bleeps and sound of alarm are linked SO BEING TURNED OFF surely that doesnt help anybody

If you look at option 6 & 7 shows you how to turn beeps on and off.

I think some of you are getting mixed up with the chirp/lights flash when you arm the alarm ( chirp usually switched off to comply with CAT 1, I believe.) and beeps/lights flash when the alarm has been activated.

ive had it on mine for the past yr,
also had the auto lock option on so when u got to 5mph it dead locks the doors.and can only be opened by the master switch on the drivers door or by the key fob.
perfect for the mrs driving around at night just incase someone takes to much of a fancy for the car lol,
