Default morette headlight teething problems

Could someone advise on a couple of issues on my morettes.

Buzzing coming from one of the relays stops when wire from battery live is dissconected.

No earth wire to body or battery negative supplied with headlights is it needed as you use the existing wiring are they not earthed anyway could this factor have something to do with the buzzing coming from relay.has anyone got a wiring diagram.

Great headlights really make the front end look good colour coded wr blue on me 2002 bugeye wrx wagon. Thanks for taking the time to look.

A buzzing from a relay suggests the contacts opening and closing quickly, which will soon destroy it.

You need a wiring diagram asap.

I got the lights second hand they didn't come with a negative wire to ground everything works full beam, main beam, dipped beam.Live wire is connected to the battery positive terminal. When i turn car off and lock doors set alarm indicators flash give it a couple of minutes and it starts the relay i think starts to buzz could this be because i don't have the lights properly earthed.thanks for your help.

Advice on a negative wire? What sort of advice?

Tell you what: try and describe each connection, EG: battery +ve to.........

And look at the relay, it's underside should have 4 terminals labelled 30, 85, 86 and 87, refer to each to tell me where it's connected to, and I'll TRY.

You need to CAREFULLY check the terminal pattern and markings on your old relays in order to get new ones the same.

All relays are NOT the same
