Angry 'Check Engine' light

Ok, so when I bought my car (just over 3 months ago) the engine light was on, i thought ok thats not too bad, the rest of the car was mint, and this appeared to be the only fault.

I had it put on a diagnostic machine and told me that the MAF sensor was to blame, i have just put a new one on (couple of hours ago) and the f*ckin thing is still on . Now i haven't had it back on the machine yet to see what it is but i was just wonderin if anyone had any ideas

Thanks
Phil
