which iso adapter ?

Default which iso adapter ?

hi all, i am picking up a 2001 impreza gx tomorrow and would like to know which stereo iso lead i will need to fit my single din stereo ?
i beleive there are amplified leads and none amplified leads, how will i know which lead i need to buy ?

got mine from ebay £4 seems to work fine or halfords £15-£20

i seen them on ebay from £3 but it says they are for the non amplified stereos only.
so i assume there is more than 1 lead for these cars, just dont know which one to buy.
for the sake of £3 i will just try that one.

just bought one from a uk seller on ebay for £1.93p with free delivery ! bargain.

I have a sony 4x50w stereo built in amp so the ebay one works fine with that

by amplified i think they mean that in some cars there is an external amp that powers the rear speakers and sometimes a sub too like some audis.
without the correct lead you wouldnt hear any sound from the rear speakers unless they are rewired from the headunit.
if 2001 imprezas are anything like audis then it seems to be completely hit and miss if the system is externally amplified or not.

My car is a blobeye didnt know about external amp as i said mine works fine and for a couple of pounds worth a try before you get ripped off by halfords
