Default Gauge problems

My gauge is doing the same as in the video
I think its down to the wiring as i have just taken a switch live and an earth both from the headunit up into the a pillar.In the gauge pod i have linked all the lives and ground from from the gauges and connected them to the switch live and ground i took from the headunit .The illumination wire is also connected to the switch live .Then the oil pressure wire to the sender and the same with the oil temp.

Have i made a school boy error taking the illumination to the switch live or can it be a bad ground ?

So it goes to max and reads downwards? Hard to see in that vid?

What make of gauges?

First check for me would be to see if +/- are reversed for that gauge.
Then check sender wiring, ditto.

The illumination needs to be taken from a switched LIGHTING feed, illumination for a switch, sidelights etc etc.
Try these and report back.

Yeah go's to max and go's down when you accelerate.
I have tried swapping +/- but didnt work.
The sender only has a feed from the gauge no ground.
I'll swap the illumination wire and see if that helps

j3 autosport gauge btw

Good idea, especially if it's had PTFE tape wrapped round it.

mine has a similar problem, mine reads off the scale all the time, over 100 psi. cant get my head round it.
