Default Which HID fitment?

Hi guys, I'm looking to upgrade my dipped headlights to a HID kit (probably 6000k) I've got a '97 Type R, so which fitment do I need to buy?

Also, who's doing the best deals on them? Don't wanna spend a fortune but not keen on buying a cheap set off some dodgy chinese seller on ebay!

Cheers

Rob

Ive got a set fitted on my car and to be honest they are cr@p.
We are not talking about the cheap nasty kits either.

Really? I had a set of HID's on my previous car and they made a hell of a difference.

When I bought mine, I was under the impression I would gain brightness and range on the light output.

All I got was brightness and the same poor light scatter. Yes dip was improved slightly, but full beam is terrible. Ive tried different bulbs, had the lights setup correctly at the local Vw garage. Still no improvement, also I constantly get flashed at night by other road users.

This is the kit Ive got,

I might be unlucky, but Im not impressed with mine.
It be interesting to see what others say about theres.

As I've said before, the HID fitment, H4 into OE Scoob lights isn't ideal. The lights are EXTREMELY poorly designed, and cause scatter all over the place. Fitting HID's makes them brighter, yes, but the light is STILL poorly focused, and main beam is often sacrificed for dip performance: the design of an H4 bulb means you CANNOT have both good dip AND main beam in HID

BOB5 will be along in a minute to tell you how good his are. They ARE better than cheapo Chinese stuff, but suffer from the problems both I, and Slipstream, have mentioned, as do ALL H4 kits.

I'd steer clear. If you want HID, then go for OE crystal lights with BMW/Merc/etc Bi-xenon projectors fitted They REALLY ARE the business.
Mine are getting done this backend, I have the lights, and am saving for the projectors.

Customer comments on our kits can be found on post #3 of the current GB:

https://www.scoobynet.com/group-buys...idelights.html

We sell more H4 kits than anything else and most of the feedback will be for H4 kits.

Have a look here: http://www.edgedp.com/pdf/STEVO210RETROFIT.pdf

Blows ANY aftermarket HID kit out of the water. Trust me, I've seen both

I've read the conversion some time back and it looks good but do the projectors give both dip and main beam? All the OE ones I've seen only seem to give one beam.

The ones I saw give both, with the sharpest cutoff I've EVER seen.
