Default OBD2 reader - any good?

Hi folks

Anyone have any good/bad experience with this kit on fleebay:
CAR DIAGNOSTIC CODE READER ELM 327 USB ver 1.3a

Seems a cheap way of diagnosing my flashing engine light following the garage identifying the MAF and O2 sensor faults already changed!

Getting fed up of the £25 a go charged for telling me the fault.

Long time since I been on forums.

I got a cheap ODB reader, was about £25. I no longer have to spend £25 to £30 to diagnose missfire on Cylinders 1,2,3,4. Which causes the engine light to come on occasionally, can't find out whats causing it, neither can Subaru Dealers, but it saves loads of time & money by turning off light myself.

It reads but does not diagnose issues, your better taking the car to a garage who is good with subaru's

Yet your problem is still there, the fault will continue until one of 2 things happens, 1 being you find the fault, 2 being your rebuilding parts of your engine due to failure of a component.

Kinda agree but also disagree, some cars put up random faults when in reality there isnt a fault. But distinguising the difference you need experience. Autel is a good brand for odb2 code readers, around £50 but reliable unlike cheaper ones and available on ebay.
